While working on making this site more user-friendly for complete newcomers to family history, I was reading this family search wiki article which encourages you to start family history by preserving the time-sensitive things before embarking on researching long-gone relatives. Things like aural histories, photos, and knowledge from folks who might be around in 30 years.

So I’m going to take some time to do that. We’ll see if anything comes of it with regards to dead easy family history.
